History Society committee member Tim Neal will be giving his talk on the life and art of Keighley artist Stanley Boardman at Kildwick & Farnhill Village Institute building, in Main Street, Farnhill. Boardman, a sign-writer by trade, specialised in creating illustrations of characters and street scenes from early 20th-century Keighley, and published a collection of his work under in the title “1920s Boy” in the 1970s. The talk will include illustrations of Boardman’s work and information about an interesting connection between the artist and the building where the talk will take place.

All are welcome to come along on Friday 17th May. The talk will start 7:30pm and the admission, £5 on the door, will include refreshments. This is a Kildwick & Farnhill Village Institute event, not a Keighley and District Local History Society one.
