Following her talk on the Bradford Sweet Poisoning earlier this year, Kathryn returns to give her talk on ‘Strawberries & Cream Cake – Rationing in WW1’, about how panic buying and profiteering at the start of the war led on to genuine rationing post-war. The talk takes place upstairs at Keighley Library. An access lift is available. Tea and coffee are served. Doors open at 7pm and the talk starts at 7.30pm, and lasts for approximately one hour. Admission is £3 (£1 for History Society members). All are welcome.

1918 rationing card, belonging to Emma Chatterton of Oakworth. Donated by Mary Marcham.
