  1. Hi, i lived in Keighley until i was 58yrs, 10 years ago. My great gandparents were from Ireland, some from Sligo. There marriage Certificate of 1860 says they both lived in ‘clubhouses’ Keighley. Ive never heard of ir before and have had no luck researching. Anyone of your members know where they might have been and what they were.. thank you and much appreciated.

  2. I hope you do not mind my commenting, but ae you aware that on Page 26 of the flicker group Keighley, the post card next to last at the bottom of that page has been mostly printed in error, The caption reads ‘Grafton Road, (showing council Schools) Ingrow.
If you are unaware that this is incorrect, please let me know and I will fill you in ….. lived there for my first 20 odd years!!!

      1. It is actually Grafton Road but the caption is totally wrong. The view is of the council estate (build 1919) on the left and private houses on the right backing on to the allotments. At the top, the back entrance to Lund Park is on the right and the post office is on the left at the junction of Grafton Road and Upper Hird Street. The nearest school is in Queens oad, a Catholic junior / infants.
Apologies if this has come through before but I am not on any form of social media and am unsure of this message (s)!!

  3. Me again … sorry. Reference Page 90 the article on Lily Cove. It may be of interest to know that her manager also was responsible for the death of her sister in not unsimilar circumstances! He had a somewhat clouded life!!!
